KU to offer second student-only H1N1 flu vaccine clinic Nov. 20

KU will offer about 900 free doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine to students between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Watkins Memorial Health Center. The doses will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis but officials say there is no need for students to line up early.

The scholarships are awarded to top students graduating from Kansas high schools in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and records of community service and leadership. Michael Albert (CoE) and Cameron Atwill (CS) snag Summerfield scholarships while Alexa Clements wins a Watkins-Berger scholarship.
Graduate Student Receives Best Paper Award

Gino Rea, a graduate student in electrical engineering, will be awarded $1,000 and a plaque for the Best Graduate Student Paper at the International Telemetering Conference (ITC) in Las Vegas next month.
